  • The Trois-Fontaines forest, a natural sanctuary of remarkable biodiversity and geology

  • Starting from the village of Trois-Fontaines-l'Abbaye, you can discover the remains of the ancient Cistercian Abbey before entering the large state forest. The forest is a Natura 2000 site, and is brimming with geological treasures. The forest's subsoil is made up of a vast network of galleries. Along the way, you'll see a number of chasms secured by wooden fences.

From the early 50s to the late 60s, the Trois-Fontaines forest was home to one of the largest US Army depots in Europe.
