Its landscaped promenades, canal banks, boulevards and wide, straight streets make Vitry-le-François a picturesque town. Rebuilt after the Second World War, Vitry-le-François has retained its original street layout and its valuable and visible heritage. Among the monuments and places to see are the Porte du Pont, the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption, the Town Hall and its garden, and the Halle.
2Saint-Rémy-en-Bouzemont
Saint-Rémy-en-Bouzemont-Saint-Genest-et-Isson, located in the Champagne countryside, has been awarded the ‘village fleuri’ label. The village has several shops and services, including a grocery store and a pharmacy. As you pass through, you can discover its rural heritage, such as its church, wash house, crosses and half-timbered houses. There are also two private châteaux in the village: the Château de la Motte and the Château de Bouvet.
